I really like the simplicity of the second option. I don’t want to know anything except where the big target areas are to drive to, and the size of the circle gives that away here. (Color, I believe, was whether more spots are opening up or filling up.) It would be great for it to do the verbal navigation thing automatically to the closest (or largest?) target area to your present location.
